Our Services

In the 2000 school year, we started a program to help students who had the capabilities to finish school, but did not have the money to provide it. We started with the selection of 20 students who represented the 15 villages that are served by our clinic.

"Friends of MHS", through donations, have established an Educational Scholarship Grant Program for students who need financial assistance and the desire to pursue further education. This grant program is available to selected students who otherwise could not receive further education. The selection process is void of bias based on nepotism, political, religious or family connections.

This scholarship program is so important because it is unrealistic to think a family would have to pay 1/3 or 1/2 of their annual income to allow one child to continue in school after the 6th grade.

A Selection and Oversight Committee was established for the Educational Scholarship Grant Program. The Committee members are:

	Sra. T. Ordonez (teacher)

In 2008, the scholarship cost for a student for 1 year is $380. U.S.
